Technical Note: FortiView Dashboard not displaying historical traffic

Description

When attempting to view traffic for the past 5 minutes, 1 hour, or 24 hours no traffic history is displayed in FortiGate's FortiView Dashboard.

Solution

Enable Local Reporting on the FortiGate unit. The FortiGate can only generate historical traffic information if the source data is stored in the unit's database.

It should be noted that:

• Historical traffic is only supported on FortiGate models that have local storage.
• The 24 hours option is not available for desktop models (FortiGate 90 series and below).
