Technical Tip: Configure FortiGate administrative access to never timeout

Description	This article explains how to configure an admin account with no timeout limit.
Scope	Any supported version of FortiOS.
Solution	The default admin session timeout can be configured under system settings. The idle timeout can range from 1-480 minutes. However, continuous access to FortiGate may be required in some troubleshooting cases. Follow these steps to set up an admin account that never times out. Create a New Admin Profile and set the access permissions as required. Enable Override Idle Timeout, then select Never Timeout.  Create a new administrator or use an existing one. In either case, set the Administrator Profile to the one created in the previous step. After completing these steps, the admin user will not time out.
