Description This article describes how to isolate a network from being logged. Sometimes, there can be a need where FortiGate administrators do not want to log traffic for a particular network IP behind the firewall.
Scope FortiGate.
Solution

There can be some scenarios where the FortiGate administrator does not want to create logs for some particular users.

In such cases, create a Firewall policy just for that network (IP) and place it on top once created, to disable the Log and allow traffic under the Logging options in the newly created firewall policy.

It is also possible to disable the log traffic option manually on CLI by using the command:

config firewall policy
    edit 'policy number'
        set logtraffic disable
