Description

This article describes how to make the remote user group appear for a new administrator.

 

  • The present user group is configured as follows:

  • When attempting to designate the remote group as a new administrator, the option doesn't seem to be available in the Remote User Group list.

Scope FortiGate v6.4.0 and above.
Solution

For the GUI:

  1. Go to User & Authentication -> User groups.
  • Edit the remote user group.
  • Remove the members.
  • Retain solely the remote groups.
  • Select 'OK'.

     2. Go to system ->  Administrators.

  • Select 'Create new'.
  • Add the remote group as a new administrator:
