Technical Tip: Search for a Vulnerability Signature CVE

Description

This article describes how to confirm if the FortiGate has a vulnerability signature reported by the organization and apply it to the network.

Scope

FortiGate v7.4.

Solution

• Confirm the corresponding CVE of the vulnerability on the FortiGuard website: https://www.fortiguard.com/, select 'Search' and set the vulnerability CVE.

 

• Name the vulnerability to know more about the vulnerability:

 

•  Find the signature on FortiGate under Security Profiles -> IPS Signatures -> Search (set CVE ID).
