DescriptionRegistration Failure with 'Unable to Find Host' Message
Solution
Issue: Host fails registration with error message "Unable to find host".
This error typically occurs due to one of the following reasons:
- Host shows as offline (grey adapter icon in Adapter or Host View).
- IP address is not found.
Solution:
If host shows offline, confirm the following:
- Network Sentry receives MAC Notification or Link State traps from the wired switch to which the host connects.
- L2 Polls for switches and/or wireless controllers complete.
If IP address is not found:
- Confirm L3 Polls complete for appropriate L3 switches.
