This article describes How to test if ICAP is properly configured and responds.

Scope FortiSandbox.
Solution

Execute telnet:

 

telnet <server_name_or_IP> <port>   port used for ICAP is 1344

 

When the Telnet session opens, type the following and press Enter: 

 

OPTIONS icap://127.0.0.1:1344/reqmod ICAP/1.0

or

OPTIONS icap://127.0.0.1:1344/respmod ICAP/1.0 

 

The following output indicates that the service is working:
