RMA license transfer:

  • Login to https://support.fortinet.com.
  • Select Manage Products.
  • Select the Serial Number of the defective unit.
  • Under Registration -> RMA Transfer, enter the new serial number of the replacement unit and select Replace.

Firmware upgrade:

  • RMA unit may not come with the same used firmware version, so it is necessary to upgrade to the used version, and get all signatures updates using the following command:

execute update-now

Configuration restore:

Standalone scenario:

  • If the node was being used as a standalone, go to System -> Maintenance -> Backup & Restore and select the Backup & Restore tab, then select Restore.
