The success or failure of the upgrade in 5.3-50 is based on the state of the Upstream Ports check-box. Unchecking the “Allow UDP Upstream Broadcast on All Ports” box allowed the upgrade to complete. Engineering provided the following table for reference.

To find the checkbox in the controller UI navigate to
Configuration > Devices > System
Settings
> select UDP Broadcast Ports >
Upstream
Ports
> Allow UDP Upstream Broadcast on All
Ports > checkbox
When the upgrade is complete you can re-check the Allow UDP Upstream box if that feature is being used.
