How To Find the System-ID of the backup controller
KB ARTICLE TYPE: Troubleshooting
RELATED PRODUCTS: All controllers
RELATED SOFTWARE VERSIONS: 5.x and above
KEYWORDS: System-ID, backup1. Sometimes, it is required to obtain the System-ID of the backup controller while the controller is in backup/slave/passive state.
2. The backup controller does not show any o/p. for the command "show controller" since all Meru services (except nplus1) are shut-down.
3. Following is the procedure to do so (One needs to just run "systemid" in root):
cntrlr-VDS(15)# log root
Password:
-bash-3.2#
sys
sys-unconfig
sys-unconfig.sh
sysctl
sysid.pl
