| Steps or Commands | You may notice in the event log, entries indicating that the FortiGuard updates were not successful. The reason of the failure is there is not enough free memory to perform the updates at that very moment, especially if there is heavy traffic, or users are download big files. To avoid these situations, you can do the following: - Disable unused services and IPS signatures to free up memory.
- Schedule Anti-Virus and IPS updates for off-peak hours such as late evening/early morning or on weekends.
