Description

 

It is important to always complete the registration of all Fortinet products and contracts. This article explains how to register a large number of devices or contracts.

Solution

 

The FortiCloud Portal does not currently include a bulk registration option for all the customers. For Bulk Registration features, the FortiCloud account ID must be linked to an order, such as a quote or purchase order, before PO approval. Contact the local sales representative to have future orders linked to your account.

If a large number of devices or contracts are to be registered then it is recommended to create a Customer Service ticket on the FortiCloud Portal. To create a ticket, the user needs to have a registered FortiCloud account.

Set the ticket category to CS Batch Request.

Provide a list of the serial numbers and contract registration codes that are to be registered, and confirm the account ID (email address) of the account against which they are to be registered.  Ideally this list should be created in an excel file and attached to the ticket.

Format for Unit Registration: Fill in the mandatory (*) fields:
Account ID * Serial No. * Reseller * Description IsGovernmentUser* Folder 1 Folder 2 Folder 3
Enter the Master account email address Enter the 16 digit alpha numeric serial number of your product Enter your Reseller or Partner name Short description for customer's reference Enter 'Yes' or 'No' Not mandatory. To be used if there are sub-folders in Asset Management    
               
               

Format for Contract Registration: Fill in the mandatory (*) fields:
Contract No. * Serial No. * IsGovernmentUser*
Enter the 12-digit alpha numeric contract number Enter the 16-digit alpha numeric serial number of your product on which the contract should be registered Enter 'Yes' or 'No'

Customer Service will process the request and notify when completed. If one or more serial numbers or contracts cannot be registered, Customer Service will complete a partial registration and inform of any exceptions.
