Documents or articles archiving policy
- Documents or articles in the Knowledge Base are kept in "Active"state as long as the Software release(*) or Hardware involved are in the scope of support coverage defined in the Fortinet Product Life Cycle Policy available on the Support WEB site.
- By default, only "Active" documents or articles are displayed in the search result
- To search in archives only, select the option "Archive State-->" = "Archived" in the same line as the keyword field
- To search in all archive states, select NO option "Archive State-->"
(*) “Software Releases” constitute either major or minor version increments.
Optimize your search
- Use multiple keywords. For example " load balance traffic interface“
- You can refine your search by using the Product categories, and/or, by using the Search Within field. This will look for the new keywords within the current results.
- Refine a search by Document Types in the advanced search:
- Product Documentation: Fortinet documentations
- Knowledge Article: specific information on features, technologies, configuration examples, troubleshooting tips..
Search Result page
- The result of your search is by default displayed by most relevant ; you can change that with the Sort By field :
- A page icon means a Product documentation and KB Icon means a Knowledge Article as shown below :
Options in the article or document page
- Toggle highlighting of keywords (off by default)
- Bookmark the page
- Rate and send a feedback
- Print the document
