Description This article describes how some Intel® wireless adapters with non-latest drivers may not be able to detect Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) networks in its scan lists and offers a solution.
Scope All systems with Intel® wireless adapters.
Solution

Some Intel® Wireless Adapters with driver versions that are not up-to-date may not be able to detect Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) networks in their scan lists. This means that systems running them may not be able to find and connect to access points that support 802.11AX.

For example, FAP-231F support 802.11AX but wireless client are not able to see the (802.11ax) networks in their scan lists.

To solve this issue, visit the Intel website to reference the updated firmware for the Intel WLAN adapter. Intel provides a support article with instructions on how to update the firmware, which can be found at the following link: https://www.intel.co.uk/content/www/uk/en/support/articles/000005478/wireless.html.

Follow the steps outlined in the article to ensure the latest firmware version is installed on the adapter. This will likely resolve the issue of the WLAN adapter not detecting the wireless signal from the wireless LAN.

Install the latest version of Intel's WiFi drivers:
