Technical Tip: Configure Alerts for Blade down on a FortiGate Chassis

Description	This article describes how to create email alerts when a blade goes down on a chassis.
Scope	FortiGate-6000 and 7000 Chassis.
Solution	Create Automation Stitch to get an alert when a blade goes down: Go to Global -> Security Fabric -> Automation>Action and select 'Create New'. Create a suitable action based on the desired requirement. The example here shows creating an email alert: Configure Name, Minimum Interval, From, To, and Subject. Leave the Body to default '%%log%%' and select 'OK'. Go to Global -> Security Fabric -> Automation -> Trigger and select 'Create New'. Scroll to the bottom Miscellaneous and select 'FortiOS Event Log'. Configure a name and in the Event option, select 'Blade not ready to process traffic' and select 'OK'. Go to Global -> Security Fabric -> Automation -> Stitch and select 'Create New'. Configure Name, leave FortiGate(s) to 'All FortiGates'. Add the configured Trigger, Action, and select 'OK'.
