Description	This article describes how to rename the FortiLink interface

Solution	According to this related article from FortiGate itself, it is not possible to rename the interface: Technical Tip: Rename interface Before renaming the interface: But there is one alternate way we can rename the interfaces using the below steps: Take the backup config of the FortiGate. Open the file with notepad/notepad++ (press ctrl+H), and search for the interface name to rename. Using the find and replace feature put the current interface name in the 'Find What' field put the new interface name in the 'Replace with' field and hit the  Replace All button as shown in the below image. Save that config file and during non-business hours, upload the backup config file. Rename interface as can be seen in below image:
