Description

This article describes the BIOS upgrade. To check the BIOS version, type the following:

FortiGate-6000F # get system status | grep "^BIOS"
BIOS version: 05000012

If the version is below 050000017, then a BIOS upgrade is required.

Important Note:

If the BIOS version is not updated, it might have a kernel panic issue.
