Description This article describes how to configure a Remote User (LDAP/RADIUS) as a FortiAuthenticator Administrator.
Scope FortiAuthenticator and a Remote Authentication Server.
Solution

Step 1: Add the LDAP server to FortiAuthenticator.

  1. On the FortiAuthenticator GUI, go to Authentication -> Remote Auth. Servers -> LDAP. Select Create New.

Step 2: Import users.

  1. It is possible to either import users right after adding the LDAP server by selecting the Import Users button or go to Authentication -> User Management -> Remote Users and then select Import.

Step 3: Select a user and grant them the User Role of Administrator. In this case, grant the user ‘test1’ the Administrator role and select Save to apply the setting.

After finishing this step, it should be possible to log into FortiAuthenticator with the new LDAP user admin.
