Solution |
The FortiClient App allows connection over SSL VPN to the FortiGate. It is possible to establish a secure SSL VPN connection between the device and FortiGate using SSL VPN. All traffic on the connection will be transmitted through the secure tunnel and be fully encrypted.
Furthermore, FortiToken two-factor authentication is supported.
At this moment, ‘FortiClient for Windows’ Desktop application is not available for ARM architecture. However, it is possible to install the FortiClient that can be used on Windows VPN SSL settings.
Note: There is no support offered for this application.
To install FortiClient VPN Client:
1) Search for FortiClient on Microsoft Store and Install it:
2) Go to VPN settings on Windows and add a VPN connection:
3) Select FortiClient instead of Windows(built-in) as the provider and give the connection name:
4) Provide the server address:
Note. If adding the Server name, make sure to write ‘?ice=1’ in the end.
5) Connect the VPN. Sign in with the credentials. Once that is verified. The VPN should change the status to 'connected' |
