Make sure the SNMP monitoring tools can resolve the DDNS/FQDN of the FortiGate. To configure DDNS:

Try to Ping the FQDN/DDNS on the SNMP monitoring tools to confirm that it resolved to the correct IP and test the SNMP monitoring using a public IP address to confirm that it is working first:
