Description This article describes how to set up FQDN for FortiGSLB Anycast IP.
Scope FortiGSLB Cloud GSLB-as-a-Service.
Solution

There is a requirement to use FQDN for the FortiGSLB Anycast IP.

FortiGSLB does not provide FQDN for the FortiGSLB Anycast IP. However, some domain management tools require each NS record to use FQDN instead of IP address.

For this requirement, set up 2 A records with the preferred FQDN respectively (one for each Anycast IP) in the respective domain management tool and use the respective FQDN for the respective NS record accordingly.

Due to varieties of domain management tools available, specific set up for the A and NS records of the domain management tool is not shown.

DNS records query example:

For this example we're using gslbns1.example.my and gslbns2.example.my as the FQDN
