Description This article describes how to create a FortiClient installer by using different installer ID.
Scope FortiClient and FortiClient EMS.
Solution

It is possible to use different types of installer IDs when creating FortiClient installer.

 

  1. Create a group assignment rule. Go to EMS -> Endpoints -> Group Assignment Rules. In this example, An Installer ID called 'Sales' has been created.

Once it is created, make sure it is also enabled or it will not be possible to use it in the next step when the installer is created.

  1. create a FortiClient installer by using this installer ID as shown below:

  1. After the installer is created, if the installer is selected and checks the details, 'installer ID' is marked for this installer as shown below:
