Description

This article describes how to create a Guest Account in FortiNAC with an account duration longer than 20 days. By default, FortiNAC will not allow the creation of a Guest Account with an account duration longer than 20 days.

Scope FortiNAC-F v7.2.3 or above, FortiNAC v9.4.4 or above, FortiNAC v9.2.9 or above.
Solution
  1. Go to Users&Host -> Administrator.

  2. Select Profiles at the right corner.

  3. Select 'Add'.

  4. Enter a valid name for the Admin Profile.

  5. Go to the Permission Tab.

  6. Select the Guest/Contractor Accounts row and tick the checkbox under the custom column.

  1. Go to the Manage Guest tab and change the 'Create accounts active for' to 365.

  1. Select 'OK'.

  2. Create a new administrator account by using the new Profile.

  1. Log off from the admin console and log in to FortiNAC by using the newly created admin account.

  2. Go to User&Hosts -> Guest&Contractors.

  3. Select Add and select an account duration longer than 20 days.

  1. Select 'OK'.
